LOVE IS BLIND

Love could be blind because of ignorance.Did you ever try to tell a person something about someone they loved and they didn’t want to know? That love was blind because of ignorance. However, An all-knowing God wouldn’t be able to love blindly because of ignorance.

Love could be blind because of pride. Many relationships are built on social status. This kind of love could be blinded by money or popularity but those relationships will soon crumble when the money is gone or the popularity fades. Social or financial status never has affected God’s relationship with anyone.

God isn’t human; He doesn’t love us because we love Him; His love is, and always has been unconditional! God loves blindly because He chooses to. He says in Isaiah 43:25,”I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. When God loves and saves a sinner, not only the punishments of their iniquity shall be removed, but their offence against God shall be forgotten, and he will be reconciled to them.

If you study the history of the nation of Israel you’ll understand that God’s love is blind because of His will. They murmured against Him in the wilderness and rebelled against Him in the Promised Land and turned their backs on Him after He had abundantly blessed them But God still loved them! What could a person ever do that would be wonderful enough to deserve God’s love? There is nothing that we could do to earn God’s admiration, but His love is unconditional.

(Eph 2:4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

(Rom 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
