Have you ever read the Bible? Some people say that the Bible is such a negative book. Those people make it obvious that they have never read the Bible through. In the Bible God tells of His wonderful works, His powerful protection, His glorious grace, His marvellous mercy, His boundless blessings, His perfect provision, His forgiving favour, His heavenly holiness, and His holy heaven. There are only a few times, much fewer than man deserve, that the Bible warns of God’s just judgment.
Ps 103:1-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
It is not because God is old and senile that He repeats His blessings to us.We are the ones who forget His blessings and benefits. God has a lesson in this repetition. He knows how forgetful we are, therefore, He repeats Himself so we remember how great and good He is!When we are reminded of God’s blessings then we should trust Him for further blessings, and our faith should increased.
We as finite beings with forgetful minds must constantly count God’s blessings upon us.The time spent counting God’s blessings is well used because at least it’s time we don’t spend having a personal pity-party.We might even get so thrilled about God’s blessings that we have a revival and break out into personal praise and worship!
(Ephesians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
