Integrity according to Webster’s Dictionary is the wholeness, entireness or the unbroken state of any thing. It is particularly the strength of character that produces moral soundness, purity, uprightness and honesty in us. Just like Job it gives us the power to stand before God’s judgment without fear of falling short.
Just as integrity is the moral strength of an individual, unity is the moral strength of a church. The power of the churches in the book of Acts was the unity produced by the Holy Spirit.
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech youthat ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowlinessand meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouringto keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3
Charles Spurgeon said, "Satan always hates Christian fellowship; it is his policy to keep Christians apart. Anything which can divide saints from one another he delights in." The Devil will use worldliness and selfishness to divide a church and then attack the stragglers as the enemy of the sheep attacks the weak and wandering ones.Just as integrity is not a natral common thing in a person, unity in the body of Christ does not just happen. This unity of the church is not assigned to an evangelist or for the pastor of the church alone. It is the duty and responsibility of every member of the body to do their part to keep the unity of the Spirit. To be unified and have fellowship with each other, the members of the church must be living fellowship with God.
