The usual definition of a mother is those women who have borne children. In the physical sense that is true but some of those are not what God planned for mothers to be. There are other definitions of a mother that are closer to the spiritual mother that God meant for a mother to be. One of those is “a name given to a woman who exercises care and tenderness towards another, or gives parental advice;” A sensitive spiritual mother is a woman who selflessly serves those who have spiritual needs. We can find great satisfaction and joy in showing God’s love and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with lost hungry little ones, but we need HIS love to fill us.
Their kindness teaches respect – Prov. 11:16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches
Their wisdom builds a strong home – Prov. 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Their noble character is an honor to a husband – Prov. 12: 4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
Their compassion and provision ministers to the poor – Prov. 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
Their modesty and decency bring honor to God – 1 Tim 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Their example of self-control and ministry of discipleship produces godliness in younger women – Titus 2: 3-5 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed
