Welcome to First Bible Baptist Church
People say that in the springtime life springs from the earth.
It may seem that life comes from that cold seemingly dead earth, but there has never been a time when any life ever came from inert matter. Most gardeners will tell you that anything that has been winter-killed must be replanted from new seed or a live cutting or bulb or something that is living. The life that we see as things begin to green up was there last fall before the cold of winter caused it to lie dormant. Those branches from my apple trees that I pruned off in February wont produce any fruit this summer (unless my green-thumbed mother-in-law sticks them in the ground.
John 15:4-5 says: “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”.
Many Christians think that they can be fruitful in their work for Jesus Christ without being in fellowship and communion with Him. To be fruitful Christians we MUST be in daily and even hourly fellowship and communion with the Holy Ghost. We NEED the living water flowing through us. We must “partake of the root and fatness” of the olive tree.
